Junction 28 rally - Sunday 11th June

The Junction 28 rally is listed in the 'Rallies & Events' column in Practical Wireless (June issue, page 8) and it says that BRARS will be at this rally.
We have said (below) that BRARS would not be attending rallies for the time being.
We're checking to see if someone has booked a stand for BRARS or if this is a drop-through from last year's rally listing.

RAILS and RADIO - The BRARS magazine

The April 2023 issue of Rails and Radio went to our printers on bank holiday Monday 10th April.

G4EAN says that his copy arrived on Tuesday 18th April.

AGM 2022

Our AGM was on Tuesday 8th November and was held online using Zoom.
An informal report is in the January 2023 issue of Rails and Radio.
Our subs for 2023 are £6 and you can join or renew now.
Our committee was re-elected en bloc. In addition we are delighted to welcome John G4ZTQ back onto our committee as our historian.

GB0LMR - 55 years since the withdrawal of steam on BR

During 2023 we will be marking 55 years since the withdrawal (in 1968) of steam from British Railways. The callsigns in use during the year will be the Special Event Station GB0LMR and the club call GX4LMR. The station will be located in Preston and mainly operated by BRARS member Mark G1PIE. QSLs will be via the Bureau or E-qsls or direct to Pam 2E1HQY (QTHR G1PIE) enclosing a SAE please.

RAILWAYS ON THE AIR (ROTA) 2023

RALLIES

Our chairman Barry G4DBS, our president Geoff G4GNQ and Geoff's wife Coral ran our stand at the NARSA rally last year. Due to a technical problem on the BRARS side of things we were not able to attend SNADARC's Junction 28 Rally last year.
Our rally team (Geoff G4GNQ and Coral) have now retired and we now do not have any volunteers to run BRARS stands at rallies. Any member interested in volunteering should contact G4EAN.
